Changing a word changes the possibilities.

Think of an idea you're mulling over.

I've got one just in case you can't think of anything.

I want to write a book.

Now, ask questions about that idea starting every sentence with Yes, But...

Yes, but what would your book be about? Yes, but when will you find the time? Yes, but who are you to even write a book? Yes, but have you enough experience to do so? Yes, but how long will it be?

What emotions are you experiencing as you read those questions? 🤔

Okay, now ask questions beginning every sentence with Yes, And...

Yes, and when will you start? Yes, and what do you need to say no to in order to say yes to this project? Yes, and what will it be about? Yes, and how long will it be? Yes, and have you enough authority?

What do you notice about the difference between asking questions in both those ways? What happens energetically when the questions are followed with AND versus BUT?

How much do you believe the Yes when it's followed by a But?
